Actor, singer, writer, children’s entertainer… George MacKenzie loves to perform. He is a graduate of the Dalhousie University Acting Program, a winner of two Boardmore Awards for Best Actor, and he was born on a twin engine Otter seaplane flying over northern Manitoba. Not unlike his character, the Cape Breton Island Reporter Editor and Bell confidante, Arthur McCurdy, father of JAD McCurdy. George is enthusiastic, curious, and gets to share the stage in The Bells of Baddeck with his eldest daughter, Anika, who is thrilled to be in her third major production!
From George: “Doing a show in Baddeck? – BEAUTIFUL.
Playing ‘besties’ with Alexander Graham Bell? PRICELESS.
Sharing a scene with my daughter, Anika? A total LIFE MILESTONE MOMENT!”
Fathers and Daughters – a magical combination in The Bells of Baddeck!
